Qualifying conditions for medical marijuana


In 2015, Texas initiated the Compassionate Use Program to provide patients with seizure disorders and epilepsy with access to cannabis treatments.


The Compassionate Use Program's list of illnesses that patients can now utilize to obtain medical marijuana in Texas includes post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and all types of cancer.

·      Parkinsons

Huntington’s

·      Chronic pain and illness

·      Rheumatoid arthritis

·       Insomnia

·      Nerve pain

·      Nausea

·      Muscle spasms



Cancer

Cannabis is used to alleviate cancer-related discomfort, angst, sleeplessness, loss of appetite and nausea. 

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Cannabinoids have demonstrated to alleviate common symptoms, such as sleeplessness, aggressiveness, intrusive thinking and anguish. 

Other Qualifying Conditions

Other qualifying conditions include Multiple sclerosis, Autism Spectrum, ALS, Muscle Spasticity
